In 2015, SPC faced a temporary setback when the oil and gas exploration project was put on hold following the unfortunate passing of the company’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Edgardo Serenio. Which resulted in the immediate halt in the submission and formal application of the exploration sites to the Philippine Energy Contracting Round (PECR).
However, in 2022, the corporation was successfully reactivated by its newly elected CEO and President, Rica Ruth Alexandra Serenio. Aligned with the country’s agenda to further enhance indigenous petroleum reserves, SPC’s renewed vision is to emerge as a key contributor to the country’s energy independence. The company plans to operate in the onshore and offshore regions of the southern part of the Philippines targeting areas with high potential for oil and gas reserves.
It’s headquartered in General Santos City with a satellite office in Cebu, Philippines comprised of a team of experienced geologists, engineers, and business professionals.
